Gujiya is a dish which is loved by all. This sweet dish is mainly prepared during the time of Holi. The best thing of this dish is that it can be refrigerated snd stored easily for many days. 

Mawa Ghujiya Recipe - How To Make Mawa Ghujiya

Ingredients for Mawa Gujiya:
For gujiya stuffing:
Mawa (khoya) - 400 grams,
Sugar - 400 grams,
Suji (rawa) - 100 grams,
Dry coconut - 100 grams,
Kashew - 100 grams (chopped),
Raisins - 50 gram,
Ghee - 02 table spoon,
Green cardamom - 8-10 (powdered),

To Prepare Gujiya Dough: 
Flour (Maida) - 500 grams,
Milk - 100 ml,
Ghee - 125 grams (to make dough),
Ghee - 400 grams (to fry gujia).

How to Make Mawa Gujiya: 
First of all we will prepare stuffing for gujia. Take a heavy bottom pan and fry the mava till it gets light brown.

Take out the mava in a clean and dry bowel, keep a side. After this put some ghee in the pan and fry the rawa on low flame till it gets light brown.

Now pour the rawa in the same bowel, in which mava is kept. Add dry fruits, sugar, powdered cardamom, mixed it well. Your stuffing is ready now.

Now we will prepare dough for gujia. For this we will melts the ghee, then mixed it with flour (maida), with the help of hands.

After this add milk slowly-slowly and make a hard dough. You can add water to dough if required. Now cover the dough with wet cloth and keep a side for 1 hour.

After one hour uncover the dough and again being to kneaded. Now we will make small, equal size balls and cover with moist cloth.

Now give the puri shape to the each small balls, put approximately 2 tsp mava stuffing on the middle of the puri.

Turn the puree and press the edges properly. So that the gujia will not open during frying. Or you can take thd help of gujia mould, this will help you to make quick gujia pastry.

Its time to frying gujia. Take a kadahi or pan and heat required quantity of ghee (approximately 300 grams), then on medium flame slid gujia one by one. Dont make it so crowded.

Stair and turn the gujias time to time, till it turns light brown. Your gujia is ready now. Do plating and serve. Rest of the gujia store in a airtight container and enjoy for 2 weeks.
